Fan Extension Rods
All semi-flush ceiling fans come complete with one short downrod between 102 – 203mm in length (you can check on each product page to find out what the length is for your chosen fan). For rooms with high ceilings, you will need to purchase additional extension rods to ensure the fan is situated at the correct height to provide maximum airflow. Kichler guides state that fans should have a minimum of 7ft (2.1m) and a maximum of 9ft (2.7m) clearance between the bottom of the fan blades and the floor. The higher a ceiling fan’s airflow rating, the greater this clearance can be whilst still providing a comfortable atmosphere.
