Elstead is one of the leading residential lighting manufacturer and distributors in the UK. Established in 1967 at the Forge in Elstead Village, Elstead expanded and moved to Alton in 1971 where they now employ over 90 staff and have manufacturing facilities of over 8,000 square metres across two sites.

Elstead specialises in decorative residential lighting that take classical influences in their design and style. Elstead are proud to still use traditional handcrafts in the production of their lights as well as embrace the modern technology available with CNC machines. A large number of the Elstead interior collection is manufactured in Alton using traditional welding and patination skills to create distinctive products.

Elstead Lighting are proud to be members of the new Lighting Industry Association, formed from the merging of the interests and assets of the Lighting Industry Federation and the Lighting Association, began its activities on January 1st 2012. Elstead have been members of the former Lighting Association since 1970 and Jonathan Lucas MD of Elstead Lighting was President of the LA for over two years working with the President and committees from both associations to merge successfully into the new LIA.

Elstead are proud to be members of the The Guild of Craftsmen. Stringent entry criteria ensure that only those companies who meet the requirements are awarded membership, which is by no means automatic. Members are required to prove that they have earned the right to be called master craftsmen – through the quality of their work, their commitment to customer care and the level of service they provide. Once accepted into membership they are required to maintain the Aims and Objectives of the Guild.
